This is a plan for reading the entire Bible over three years,
following the Revised Common Lectionary.

First the scriptures for the following Sunday are read together,
then each day one is chosen to focus on,
with additional readings to fill in the spaces.

Sometimes the Lectionary Calendar has optional readings;
this reading schedule includes all of them.

Year A
2010/2011

This year focuses on  the Bible as a record of God's work in history.
There are several books that do not occur
in the lectionary and I have included them
in this year's readings, with parentheses around them.
Books covered:
Matthew, Isaiah, Ezekiel, 1 Peter, Genesis, Romans, Zechariah,
Exodus, Philippians, Jonah, 1 Thessalonians, Leviticus, Joshua, Judges
(1&2 Chronicles, Ezra, Obadiah, Nahum, 2&3 John, Jude).

Year B
2008/2009

This year focuses on the Bible as God's wisdom reavealed to man.
Spaces are filled by reading through the Psalms in order,
with parentheses around the “extra” Psalms.
Books covered:
Mark, John, 2 Peter, 1&2 Corinthians, Numbers, 1 John,
1&2 Samuel, Ephesians, 1 Kings, Song of Solomon, James,
Proverbs, Esther, Job, Hebrews, Ruth, Daniel
(Psalms).

Year C
2009/2010

This year focuses on the Bible as God's prophetic proclamtion.
There is also a continuation of the Psalms in order.
Books covered:
Luke, Zephaniah, Micah, Titus, Nehemiah, Deuteronomy, Acts,
Revelations, Galatians, 2 Kings, Amos, Colossians, Hosea,
Ecclesiastes, Jeremiah, Philemon, 1&2 Timothy,
Lamentations, Joel, 2 Thessalonians, Habakkuk, Haggai, Malachi
(Psalms).
